Designing gardens in a new housing development conjures a host of feelings. On one hand, it hurts when grassland or oak savanna has been replaced by buildings and streets. On the other, it is so encouraging to see how many homeowners want to reintroduce native plants and create habitat via their yards. Let’s advocate for more environmentally attuned development policies AND let’s set a precedent for native plants in every new neighborhood and home.

Thank you Brodeur Landscapes for the beautiful build!
