The Art of Native Plants
I was hired by American River Conservancy (ARC) to create a custom t-shirt and tote illustration for merchandise to be sold at the RIPE AREA: The Art of Native Plants Festival, which was co-hosted by ARC and Myrtle Tree Arts. The design celebrates riparian plants and animals native to the upper American River and upper Cosumnes River watersheds.
California Native Plant Society Bloom! Campaign
Bloom! California: Native Plants for a Bright Tomorrow is a statewide campaign by California Native Plant Society (CNPS) that aims to increase consumer awareness of and demand for native plants. I was the main illustrator for a series of vignettes that demonstrate different ways to design with the eleven plant categories that are the focus of the initiative. The drawings take into consideration a range of garden sizes, site conditions, and aesthetic preferences. [Work completed at Miridae under the direction of Kate Hayes]
